Ingredients for this Caprese Salad Wreath

  • Spinach
  • Mozzarella Balls
  • Tomatoes
  • Basil
  • olive oil and spices (optional)

How to Assemble this Caprese Salad Wreath

The easiest way to make this board is to place a bowl upside down on a large platter or board. This makes it easy to design the board.

Start by spreading the spinach around the outside of the bowl.

Add some basil leaves on top of the spinach and place cut cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls on top of the greens.

Drizzle dressing or oil on top of the salad or serve as is. You can make this about an hour before hand and keep it in the fridge.

Tips for Serving and Storing This Caprese Salad Wreath

This board is best served fresh so the greens stay crisp and the mozzarella stays cool. If you’re preparing it ahead, assemble the spinach and basil on the board first and store the tomatoes and mozzarella in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator. Wait to add them until just before serving to keep everything vibrant and fresh.

If you want to drizzle olive oil or balsamic glaze over the top, do that right before it goes on the table. For parties, consider placing small skewers or toothpicks next to the board so guests can easily pick up pieces without disturbing the wreath shape.

To store leftovers, place the greens and mozzarella in separate containers to avoid them getting soggy. This salad still tastes great the next day over pasta, on a sandwich, or tossed into a simple lunch bowl.
