An Epic Turkey Charcuterie Board for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is the perfect time for entertaining and this turkey charcuterie board is loaded with seasonal flavors and is the perfect showstopper for the big meal. For this board I went for darker colors and cured meat surrounded by all my favorite ingredients including cheese, nuts, grapes, and more. We enjoyed this board as the grazing board on our own Thanksgiving and it was the perfect balance that still left room for the main event!

How to Assemble This Turkey Charcuterie Board

This board can be made ahead and served cold. If you don’t have space to put the whole board in the fridge, it’s best to make it right before serving.

Start by cutting any ingredient into bite sized piece or slices. I like to cut my cheese to make it easy to serve but you can also leave it whole with a knife.

Next build the Turkey body: cut you pear in half and add the eyes, beak and legs. Position this in the lower part of the board.

Build the feathers around the body with the salami and proscuitto. I alternated rows of rolled salami (fold each piece in half and then roll it). For the procsuitto I gathered it up. You can also use toothpicks if you prefer to hold things together or just place them close together on the board.

Next build the rest of the board but placing the cheese and any bowls on above the meat. Fill in the gaps with nuts, fruit, chocolates and crackers.

Tips for Serving your Turkey Charcuterie Board

Once your board is fully assembled, a few simple serving tips can help elevate the experience and make it even more enjoyable for your guests.

Keep the Board Balanced
Since this turkey charcuterie board is meant to be a pre-dinner grazing option, focus on lighter bites. Include a mix of salty, sweet, crunchy, and creamy items so guests can build small, satisfying combinations without filling up before the main meal.

Offer Small Plates and Napkins
Set out small appetizer plates and plenty of napkins nearby. This encourages guests to take a few items at a time and keeps the serving area tidy.

Add Serving Utensils
Use small cheese knives, mini spoons for jams, and little tongs if you have them. This not only helps with hygiene but also keeps your board from getting messy too quickly.

Refresh as Needed
If your gathering is longer or guests are snacking slowly, refresh the fruit or crackers midway through the event. Grapes, nuts, and crackers are the easiest items to top off without disturbing the design.

Consider Dietary Needs
If you’re serving a crowd, offering a couple of gluten-free cracker options or separating cheeses for dairy-free guests can make the board more inclusive. Simply place these alternatives in small bowls or on a separate corner of the board.

Keep It Cool Until Serving
If you assemble the board ahead of time, keep the meats and cheeses chilled and add crackers or chocolates right before serving so they stay crisp and fresh.

Add a Festive Touch
A few sprigs of fresh rosemary or slices of dried citrus add a seasonal pop and help tie the whole board into your Thanksgiving table décor.
