Oranges are a fun fruit to add to a charcuterie board. Not only does an orange give a burst of fresh flavor, but the vibrant colors are perfect to add some pop to a board. In this post I want to share 6 ways that you can cut oranges for a charcuterie board. Some of these methods for how to cut oranges are best if you are looking for a decoration and some are better if you are serving the orange to eat. Remember to supply people with a place for orange peels, napkins and toothpicks if needed.

6 Ways to Cut Orange for a Charcuterie Board
#1 – Classic Rounds
Cut or peel the orange and then Slice the orange crosswise into thin, even circles. Works well for layering or placing along the edges of the board.
#2 –Orange Wedges
Easy finger food that adds structure to the board. Cut the orange in half, then into quarters, then into eighths. Leave the peel on for a bright, colorful look.
#3 – Carved Bloom
Cut the orange in half Use a paring knife to cut zig-zag patterns around the edge, then separate—revealing a “blooming” orange.

#4 – Quarter Rounds
Cut the orange into thin slices and then cut these into quarters. These are small, easy to eat and easy to use as decoration in rows on a board.
#5 – Make an Orange Flower
Start by cutting one of the ends off your orange and then cut the orange in half. Use a small knife to cut the orange away from the peel. Place the end of the orange that you cut off into the orange rind to make a cup (see the video for this). Next cut the other half of the orange into slices. Cut these in half and start layering them around the inside of the orange cup to make a flower.

#6 – An Orange Cup
Start by cutting one of the ends off your orange and then cut the orange in half. Use a small knife to cut the orange away from the peel. Place the end of the orange that you cut off into the orange rind to make a cup like in the Orange Flower. Cut the orange into small pieces and place them back in the cup.
