This is one of my favorite little boards for the fall. Make this acorn charcuterie board for Halloween or Thanksgiving or a kid’s birthday party. Full of fun ingredients with a little salty and sweet combination. This board is easy to make as a small or medium board and can be adapted based on dietary preference or allergies.
I also made some small acorn cookies to go with this board just for some added fun!
Below you can see the ingredients I used to make this acorn shaped board. You might also like my full list of fall board ideas.

Ingredients for this Acorn Charcuterie Board
This board is made from these ingredients:
- Cheddar cheese cubed
- Salami
- Walnuts
- Apples
- Pretzels sticks for the stem
- Chocolate Covered Raisins
(Optional for the acorn cookies – Nilla Wafers and Chocolate kisses)
Optional: Caramel or chocolate for dipping (cookies, nuts and apples)
Other Ingredient Ideas: in general you want to choose brown or dark colored ingredients for the acorn top and lister colors (seasonal) for the acorn itself.
Should I use an Acorn Shaped Board?
Yes – you guessed right – not only can you make an acorn charcuterie board, but you can also buy a board shaped like an acorn! I chose not to use a board like this to make this board, but if you will be making this often or want to really do it right you can find these boards online – like this small one on Amazon.
How to Assemble this Acorn Charcuterie Board?
If you plan to make the cute little acorn cookies. Start by melting a chocolate kiss just a little and then sticking it to a Nilla Wafer. You can also add a small dot or icing for the stem.
To make the board itself, start by making the ‘cap’ Put the dark colored ingredients on the top in a little dome shape. Next add the rest of the ingredients to the bottom laying the ingredients in rows or groups. You will want to shape this like an acorn with a little point at the bottom.

How and When to Serve this Board
This acorn charcuterie board is such a fun addition to your fall celebrations. It’s perfect for Halloween gatherings, Thanksgiving appetizers, fall harvest parties, or even a kids’ autumn-themed birthday. The mix of sweet and salty flavors makes it a crowd-pleaser for both adults and children.
Serve this board as an afternoon snack, a pre-dinner appetizer, or even as a dessert-style charcuterie if you focus on the sweeter ingredients like the acorn cookies, chocolate-covered raisins, and caramel dip.
If you’re hosting a larger event, you can easily make a few smaller acorn boards and place them around your party for a festive touch. For something more casual, serve it on a cozy fall afternoon with apple cider or mulled wine.
Because the ingredients are simple and don’t require cooking, this board also travels well — great if you’re bringing a dish to a fall potluck or Thanksgiving dinner. Just assemble most of it ahead of time and add the apples and cookies right before serving for the freshest look.
