Nothing says summer like this fresh, delicious and beautiful charcuterie board.
We made this peach, burrata and prosciutto charcuterie board recently for a simple snack before dinner paired with a bottle of rose. It has the perfect balance of sweet and savory with the creamy taste of burrata to bring it all together. I created this board thanks to a bowl full of ripe peaches and was looking for ideas for a peach appetizer

Fresh Ingredients for a Summer Peach, Burrata and Prosciutto Charcuterie Board
The key to this summer peach, burrata and prosciutto charcuterie board is fresh and delicious ingredients. Since there are only a few ingredients, it’s important that everyone is delicious. Here are the ingredients we used for this board:
Burrata: Choose a ball of burrata that’s plump and creamy, with a smooth and intact outer layer. When gently pressed, it should give slightly, indicating a luscious interior. The fresher the burrata, the more luxurious the texture and flavor. Look for options packaged in brine to ensure that unmistakable creaminess. Burrata adds a rich, indulgent element that pairs wonderfully with the vibrant fruits and cured meats on your board.
Peaches: Opt for peaches that yield slightly to gentle pressure and have a sweet aroma at the stem end. The skin should be vibrant and free of wrinkles. Ripe peaches will offer a burst of juicy flavor, balancing the saltiness of the cured meats. Their natural sweetness contrasts beautifully with the savory and herbaceous notes of the other ingredients.
Tomatoes: Select firm yet slightly yielding tomatoes that are deeply colored and have a slight sheen. Vine-ripened varieties tend to have the best flavor. Fresh tomatoes bring a burst of acidity that cuts through the richness of the cheese and meats, enhancing the overall taste experience. We used cherry tomatoes for this board but you could easily use sliced heirloom tomatoes.
Prosciutto: Look for prosciutto with a soft, velvety texture and a marbled appearance. The slices should be thin and delicate, allowing them to practically melt in your mouth. High-quality prosciutto is a must; its savory and slightly salty essence harmonizes with the other elements on the board.
Cherries: Opt for plump, glossy cherries with vibrant color and firmness. A sweet aroma is a telltale sign of ripeness. Cherries lend a delightful pop of sweetness, balancing the saltiness of the charcuterie and adding a playful touch of color to your presentation.
Basil Leaves: Choose fresh basil leaves that are deep green and aromatic. Avoid leaves with any signs of wilting or discoloration. Basil contributes a fragrant and herbaceous layer, elevating the overall aroma and providing a refreshing contrast to the richer components of the board.
Alternative Ingredients: Feel free to get creative with your charcuterie board! You can include a variety of artisanal cheeses like aged cheddar, blue cheese, or goat cheese. Add crunch with assorted nuts, such as almonds or walnuts. Fresh figs, apricots, or strawberries can replace peaches and cherries, providing different textures and flavors. For a vegetarian twist, consider marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, or even grilled eggplant slices.

Serving a Summer Peach, Burrata and Prosciutto Charcuterie Board
This charcuterie board should be served immediately after serving as the fruit and cheese are best fresh.
We served this board just before dinner, but it would also make a great charcuterie board for two alongside another dish for dinner.
Serve the board with a light and refresting drink like a rose, white wine, lemonade or seltzer.
We did serve this board with some thinly sliced with bread and a spoon and small plates. This board is challenging to eat as finger food as the burrata is juicy.
