Ingredients for the Fireworks Charcuterie Board
You can use anything red white and blue to make this board. The trick is to choose vibrant and flavorful ingredients that will really pop on your board. Here are the ingredients I used to craft this board:
- Strawberries
- Raspberries
- Goat Cheese
- Cheddar Cheese (cut into slices and cubes)
- Blueberries
- Blackberries
- White Colored Crackers
- Salami
- Proscuitto
- Sliced white cheese (to make the stars)
To make this board you will want a medium sized charcuterie board. You will also need a cookies cutter to cut the cheese slices into stars. I recommend getting a set for other boards as well. You can cut stars with a knife but these cutters are great and save plenty of time.

How to Make this Fireworks Charcuterie Board
Making this board is easy – just follow the exact steps below.
- Start by cutting your ingredients into bite sized pieces. This makes it easy to style but also easy to eat. Cut up your strawberries and cut your cheddar cheese into slices and cubes.
- Next – lay out your salami in a row straight up your board. You can make the firework going up vertically or put your board horizontal. Add a salami rose in the center of your board. You can find 2 different quick methods for making a salami rose here.
- Use the stars to put across the bottom of the board.
- Now you are going to lay the ingredients out on the board radiating from the salami rose. Make sure to alternate colors to make the board really interesting and the colors pop. I like to lay down the crackers and cheese first and then fill the wedges between with the fruit.

Tips for Serving Your 4th of July Fireworks Charcuterie Board
1. Keep Everything Fresh
Because this board features cheese and meats, it’s best to keep it chilled until about 30 minutes before serving. For outdoor gatherings, set the board over a tray of ice or serve it in a shady spot to maintain freshness. Since it tends to be hot on the 4th of July, make sure to keep this board in the shade,
2. Make It Easy to Grab and Go
Set out small plates, napkins, and toothpicks or mini skewers so guests can serve themselves without crowding the board. It keeps things tidy and convenient.
3. Slice and Portion Ahead of Time
Pre-slice all cheeses and meats so the board is ready to enjoy. Fun touches like star-shaped cheese slices are not only festive, they’re perfect for easy snacking too.
4. Include Small Bowls of Extras
Place a few small bowls around the board with honey, mustard, or a creamy dip. These flavorful add-ons give guests even more to love.
5. Restock as Needed
For longer gatherings, keep some backup ingredients on hand, like extra berries, crackers, or salami, so you can easily replenish the board.
6. Customize for Your Crowd
Tailor the board to suit your guests. For a kid-friendly version, go for mild cheeses and simple meats. For a more grown-up board, add bold flavors like blue cheese, olives, or even chocolate-covered treats.
