How to Assemble this Board

It’s best to assemble this board right before serving so you can keep the food cold but the fruit doesn’t have the chance to discolor.

To make this board, start by cutting all the fruit into slices. This makes it was to serve and eat, and also makes it visually appealing. Keep the fruit in groups after you cut them into slices on a board to make it easy to assemble. For the oranges, I sliced them into rounds, but decided to cut these in half again.

To build this board you will want a medium sized board.

Start by laying out one type of fruit – I started with the cantaloupe. Please the slices on an angle and spread them out into different directions around the board. Now continue placing the rest of the ingredients on the board.

Once the board is full of the slices fruit, start filling any holes by placing cherries on top and then add the raspberries. This adds a nice filled and color boost to the board. Next place some scoops of burrata on top of the board in 6-10 spoonful’s. Garnish with basil and edible flowers.

Serve immediately.

How to Serve This Fruit Board with Burrata

This vibrant summer board is best served fresh and chilled. Because the fruit can discolor or soften quickly, plan to assemble the board just before serving. If you’re prepping ahead, you can slice the fruit in advance and store it in the fridge, then build the board right before guests arrive.

Serve the burrata in small spoonfuls across the board so guests can easily grab a creamy bite with their fruit. Be sure to include small tongs or cocktail forks so the fruit is easy to pick up without fingers. This board is perfect as a light appetizer, brunch centerpiece, or even a colorful dessert at a picnic or party. Pair it with chilled sparkling water, prosecco, or a fruity white wine to keep the summer vibes going.
