Birthdays are all about celebrating and a charcuterie board is the perfect way to gather, graze and chat. Let this birthday charcuterie board be the center of the party. Simply load it with the best ingredients, and place it where you want people to gather and let the fun begin.
My sister and I made this board recently for a double birthday for my daughter’s 13th and brother-in-laws birthdays. To day it was a hit was an understatement. Below I’ll share the ingredients I used for this board, but you can easily adjust this board if you are serving vegetarians or people who need a dairy-free or gluten-free board. Of course you don’t need to serve this as a birthday charcuterie board – it also make a great board for a bridal shower, dinner party, or with gathering with friends.

Ingredients and Supplies
I used a medium board for this this design. My favorite medium board to use is actually a lazy Susan as it adds to the fun and if you want something on the other side of the board, you simply give the board a little spin! Here is a similar board to the one used in these photos.
You will also need a few serving items for this charcuterie board like cheese knives
Below is a list of the ingredients used for this board:

Assembling your Medium Charcuterie Board
Start by deciding how people will eat from this board. Do you want people to scoop things onto a napkin or plate, use their fingers, or toothpicks.
Next cut your food into the right sizes and shapes to make it was for people to eat from the board. Here are some things we did with this board:
- cut peaches into slices
- cut some of the cheese into slices
- left some food directly in the containers
Next begin placing the food onto the charcuterie board. I like to put the more foundational pieces on the board first (like the meat and cheese). Try to arrange the board by breaking up colors, textures, and containers to add visual appeal.
Next place knives and other serving spoons onto the board.
Serving this Medium Charcuterie board
In general this board is best assembled right before serving. The board should be served slightly cool or room temperature. If the board will be out for a while in the heat, it’s best to check and swap out meat and cheese before it sits to long.
Here are my top tips for making a medium charcuterie board:
Ideal Cheese Selections: Choose a variety of cheeses that offer a balance of flavors and textures, such as soft, hard, and aged options.
Pairing Meats with Cheeses: Select complementary meats like prosciutto, salami, and chorizo that pair well with the chosen cheeses.
Creating a Visually Appealing Layout: Arrange the ingredients in an aesthetically pleasing way, balancing colors and textures for an inviting presentation.
Incorporating Seasonal Fruits: Add seasonal fruits like grapes, figs, or berries to bring freshness and color to the board.
Complementary Condiments: Include condiments such as mustards, jams, and honey to enhance the flavors and provide variety.
