Create a small and simple brie cake as the centerpiece for your next charcuterie board or serve this simple brie cake on it’s own. This decoration is perfect for a brunch, cocktail hour or to dress up the table for a special event. The best thing – you can make this is just a few minutes with some simple ingredients. Choose from your favorite fruits and edible flowers and get creative with your simple Brie Cake.
Ingredients for Your Brie Cake
This is a very simple brie cake with just one layer but you can easily adjust and stack several brie rounds on top of each other. Here is what I used to make this pretty brie round:
- Brie – choose your favorite!
- Fruit – choose a few bright and colorful fruits as decoration. I used strawberries and cherries, but any berry is a good choice
- Edible Flowers – whether you plan to actually eat the flowers or not, it’s still important to use edible flowers as some flowers are poisonous. See our favorite edible flowers.
- Crackers – choose your favorite crackers to serve up with the brie cake
Assembling your Simple Brie Cake
This brie cake is served cold. Start by removing your brie from any wrapping and placing it on a small charcuterie board, on a plate or in the center of a much large board.
Gather your flowers and fruit and cut up anything you want in smaller sections. For this board I left the fruit whole but you can get creative and cut the fruit into smaller sections. Add your flowers.
Serve you brie cake simply with some crackers or pile your other charcuterie board ingredients around to make a more elaborate board.

- Select a Quality Brie: Choose a ripe, creamy Brie with a soft, edible rind. Ensure it’s at room temperature for easy spreading.

- Include Edible Flowers: Decorate with edible flowers for a beautiful and elegant touch.
- Serve with Crackers or Bread: Provide a selection of crackers, breadsticks, or slices of baguette for pairing with the Brie cake.
- Consider a Savory Twist: For a savory option, top with caramelized onions, prosciutto, or roasted garlic.
- Presentation: Use a cake stand or a decorative platter to showcase your Brie cake. Arrange your garnishes and accompaniments around the base for a professional finish.
- Chill Before Serving: Chill the Brie cake slightly before serving to help the layers hold their shape and to enhance the flavors.
