How to Assemble this Easy, Small Christmas Board
One of the keys to putting this board together is to get creative on the design. With just a few little design elements, you can make this board look just a bit more fancy.
Start by cutting anything large into bite sized pieces. Lay the cheese slices out in rows or rounds to start.
Next make the salami rose. If you’ve never made a salami rose you can find a quick tutorial here and you can also fold your salami in a salami river.
Finish by putting the remaining ingredients on the board in groups or rows splitting up the colors, sizes and textures of the ingredients to keep it interesting.
Use herbs and edible flowers as garnish.
Tips for Serving an Easy, Small Christmas Board
Serve this small Christmas board at room temperature so the cheeses are soft and flavorful, set it out about 30 minutes before serving. Because the board is on the smaller side, it’s best enjoyed fresh, so plan to assemble it close to serving time. If you’re entertaining for longer, consider refreshing the board with extra crackers or fruit as needed.
This style of board is perfect for placing on a coffee table, kitchen island, or small side table, and it pairs beautifully with sparkling wine, mulled wine, or a festive cocktail. For larger gatherings, make two or three small boards with slightly different ingredients and scatter them throughout your space to keep guests mingling and snacking with ease.
