What Make a Great Bridal Shower Charcuterie

A great bridal shower charcuterie board should feel elegant, light, and a little bit special. This is not the time for a heavy, meat-only board, instead, focus on a balance of fresh fruit, soft cheeses, and a few sweet treats to give it that “celebration” feel.

Color is key. Think soft pinks, greens, whites, and pops of bright fruit to create a romantic look that fits perfectly with a bridal shower theme. Adding flowers (edible if possible) instantly elevates the board and makes it feel more intentional and decorative.

Variety also matters. You want a mix of textures and flavors — creamy cheeses, salty meats, juicy fruits, and a little sweetness from things like macarons or chocolate. This keeps guests coming back to try a little bit of everything.

Finally, presentation is everything. Small details like shaping meats into roses, using skewers, or adding a word like “bride” turns a simple snack board into a centerpiece for your event.

Ingredients for this Bridal Shower Charcuterie

You can use any fresh ingredients for this board that you can find, but below I’ll share exactly what I used to make this board. You will want to select the amount of ingredients based on the number of guest. You can try our portion calculator or see how much charcuterie for the number of people. In general you will want a medium to large charcuterie board and you will also need letter cookie cutters to make the word ‘bride.’

Here is what I used to make this board:

  • Gouda Cheese
  • Brie Cheese
  • Mozzarella Balls
  • Kiwi
  • Raspberries
  • Green Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Canteloupe
  • Salami (2 types)
  • Poscuitto
  • Macarons
  • Chocolate
  • Slices of cheese

For decoration – roses or other edible flowers.

How to Assemble this Bridal Shower Charcuterie

To assemble this board, you will want to start with making some rose skewers. You can skip this and put your ingredients right on the board, but rose skewers are pretty and they make it easy to eat. To make this skewer, roll a piece of prosciutto into a flower and put in on a skewer or toothpick. Add a mozzarella ball to one side and a cantaloupe ball to the other. Make at least one of these for every guest and them place them on your board.

Next it’s time to make a salami and brie rose. To make this, cut your brie into slices and lay them overlapping on their sides to form a circle. Next you will roll up your salami into roses and put these into the center of the brie circle. This makes a beautiful centerpiece for your board.

One you have these defining elements on the board, you can put the rest of the ingredients directly on the board in groups, breaking up the colors, size and texture of the ingredients.

To really make this an beautiful bridal shower charcuterie board, add edible flowers to the board (I used mostly roses).

For the finishing touch, use a slice of cheese to cut out the words ‘bride’ or the names of the bride and groom. If you are using this for a baby charcuterie board, you can also write the words ‘baby.’

Tips for Serving a Bridal Shower Charcuterie Board

When building a bridal shower charcuterie board, you want ingredients that are fresh, colorful, and easy to eat while mingling. This is a social event, so bite-sized items and grab-and-go options work best.

Start with a few cheeses — a mix of soft and semi-soft options like brie, gouda, and mozzarella balls works perfectly. Add in a couple types of cured meats like salami and prosciutto for a savory balance.

Fresh fruit is what really brings this board to life. Choose a mix of colors and textures like strawberries, raspberries, grapes, kiwi, and melon. Not only do they taste great, but they also make the board look bright and inviting.

To give the board a fun and celebratory touch, include a few sweet elements like macarons or chocolate. These small additions make the board feel more like a special occasion spread rather than an everyday snack tray.

Finally, don’t forget the decorative elements. Edible flowers, fresh herbs, or even just a few strategically placed roses can completely transform the look of your board and make it feel bridal shower–worthy.
