Jump to Recipe

Nothing says Happy Halloween like a large board full of candy! This amazing charcuterie candy board is perfect for a Halloween-themed party, a fall movie night, or for just celebrating around the home on a special night. You can see some ideas in the photos below of the different types of candy we used to create this board, but there are many ways to put together an amazing one with the candy you have available. Below you can see exactly what we used to create this candy board including the types of candy and other supplies.

You can also make your Halloween candy board as small or large as you like. We chose a medium-sized board as I made this for a girl’s movie night and didn’t want to completely overdo the amount of sugar consumed.

Tips for Making the Perfect Halloween Candy Board

Creating the perfect Halloween Charcuterie candy board is very easy. While you can get fancy with the different types of ingredients, you can also purchase a whole bunch of candy and lay it out on your board completely randomly. You really can’t go wrong with this board as it is full of candy!

Below are some general guidelines for creating an amazing charcuterie board:

  • Select season colors like orange, yellow, and black
  • Lay out the ingredients starting with the largest items – group your ingredients and try to cover the entire board
  • Lay out your candy to spread out the different colors and sizes of food
  • Always try to work with uneven numbers as this is more aesthetically pleasing

Ingredients for a Halloween Charcuterie Board

The best part of the Halloween candy board is that you can use almost any fun candy ingredients to make a fun board. Choose your favorite candy and a few other sweets and put together an amazing display of straight-up sugar. The essential ingredients for a Halloween charcuterie board are candy corn or pumpkins, or something caramel (like popcorn) and chocolate-covered pretzels. We also liked throwing in some peeled clementines just to give at least one healthy item!

We also chose to create the cookie ghosts to add a Halloween-themed feel to the board, but you can often find Halloween cookies for sale in October.

Here is a list of everything we used to create our Halloween Charcuterie Board

  • Oreos
  • Candy Pumpkins
  • Candy Corn
  • Caramel Popcorn
  • Clementines
  • Gummy Worms
  • Chocolate Covered Pretzels
  • Ghost Cookies – Milano Cookies and icing
  • Googly Eyes (or icing and tic tacs)
  • Twizzlers
  • Peanut Butter Cups

A few other fun candies and ingredients to add include: caramel rice cakes, chocolate-covered nuts, skittles, maple shaped (or Halloween-shaped) cookies.

How to Assemble a Halloween Candy Board

There is no magic to assembling a Halloween candy board. I always like to start by laying out the largest items first. For this board, we started with the row of Oreos, the ghost cookies, and the clementines.

From there, you can place the rest of the candy in large handfuls around the main parts of the board. As you lay out your candy, try to break up the size of the candy and the colors. You can see that we used the candy corn, pumpkins, and gummy worms spread out around the board to bring pops of orange and yellow to every corner of the board.

Make this board in advance, or serve right away! Then get ready for a little sugar rush!
