Tips for Making a Christmas Board

Choose a Festive Color Palette
Stick to red, white, and green ingredients to create a board that visually represents the holiday season. Think red fruits, green veggies, and white cheeses or crackers to bring the theme to life.

Incorporate a Variety of Textures
Include a mix of soft, creamy cheeses, crunchy crackers, fresh fruits, and crisp veggies to keep the board interesting and satisfy all taste preferences.

Use Seasonal Ingredients
Highlight holiday flavors by including seasonal items like pomegranate seeds, cranberries, and rosemary sprigs. They not only taste great but also add a festive touch to the board.

Add Edible Decor
Use cookie cutters to create star-shaped cheese slices or arrange your ingredients in fun shapes like Christmas trees or wreaths. Garnish with rosemary or thyme to mimic greenery.

Balance Sweet and Savory
Pair savory meats and cheeses with sweet fruits, jams, or honey. This contrast enhances the flavors and adds variety to the board.

Layer and Arrange Thoughtfully
Start with larger items like cheese wedges and bowls of dip, then fill in with smaller ingredients. Group items by color to create visually appealing sections.

Make It Easy to Serve
Provide small serving utensils, like cheese knives or toothpicks, and cut fruits or cheeses into bite-sized pieces for easy grabbing. This ensures your guests can enjoy the board effortlessly.
